Below is a tutorial created to help teachers quickly re-size or touch up photos for use on their blogs, websites or publications. The tutorial also shows some opportunities for image editing skills to be applied in any classroom. The tool used in this tutorial is Picmonkey, a free web based application. At this point, Picmonkey is not available on the iPad. Note - younger students may not be able to use and apply these skills.
Podcasts are popular in classrooms today as they are a tool that can be used to practise and improve reading, teach others, assess student learning among others. They can be used in any subject area be it Music, Languages, Biology and so on. They can be shared with students, parents and the community and provide opportunities for discussion and feedback via comments. Podcasts can be embedded to a website/blog as a tool for blended learning. Videos, vodcasts can also be used as a tool for the flipped classroom.
