Kindergarten students made some artifacts in their Art class. Their artifacts had two main purposes. We asked them to explain how they made their artifacts and what they would be used for. They had to learn to speak for an audience using the Pixntell iPad App.

During their Sharing The Planet unit, Kindergarten students explored different kinds of animals using Spot The Farm Animal, an iPad app. We thoroughly enjoyed finding animals and imitating the sounds they make, hearing their true sounds from the app made kindergartners even excited. It was interesting to realise some animals are called different names in different parts of the world. Later we looked at Spot the Jungle Animal to explore other kinds of animals and students could not stop talking about their Kindergarten students discussed the different kinds of computers we use and those they have seen people use in school and at home. We came up with a laptop, a (desktop) computer and a (tablet) galaxy tab, iPhone or iPad. We named the people we saw using these computers and then colored them in using different crayons. Later we had to see how many different kinds of computers we could remember and their special names. |
